FoolAlooF's Philosophy
At FoolAlooF there are several things we strongly believe in:
- the future
- that one day this time will be know as the computer "dark ages"
- that technology should be ubiquitous and completely unnoticeable
- the web is a level playing field where small and medium sized business can go head to head with multinationals
Customer Service
We believe in providing services that our clients want at a price that they can pay and only delivering the highest quality products. We believe in educating our clients in the areas of technology so that they can make informed decisions.
Standards Compliance
Without standards the web would be dead in the water requiring as many different versions of pages are there are browsers, drastically increasing development time and decreasing overall quality. FoolAlooF commits itself everyday to using published standards for how web development should be done, allowing us to create a "future proof" product, reduce development times, and increase our product quality. All pages written by FoolAlooF are XHTML Strict or XHTML Transitional compliant depending on the projects needs. We only write compliant CSS for our presentation layer and follow programming guidelines for development languages where they are available.
Accessibility
Accessibility has always been something that should be done, now it has become something that must be done. With the federal handicapped accessibility requirements and increasing state requirements websites cannot be written today without taking into account people with various disabilities and the technologies that they use. FoolAlooF has always been "into" accessibility because it is morally right and a god business decision. If your site is more easily accessed with a screen reader then your competitions, where is someone who uses a screen reader going to spend their money?
FoolAlooF - The Business
History
FoolAlooF has been developing website freelance since the year 2000, becoming an LCC in 2005. Over those years we have seen the web progress in many areas and have the pleasure of creating dozens upon dozens of sites for all types of clients.
Ownership
FoolAlooF is privately owned by Noah Singer, an Assistant Professor on Computer Information Systems at Tulsa Community College.
Partnerships
Web development and design touches on so many areas of business that no one company can hope to be expert in all of them. Because of this FoolAlooF has developed very close ties to several other companies who we rely upon for expert advise in non-technology fields and who rely on us for their technology needs.
Toolbox-Marketing
Toolbox-Marketing is a local marketing company who FoolAlooF relies on for marketing advise for ourselves and our clients. Because the web can be seen as primarily a selling tool and online advertisement space, marketing needs for websites are crucial to their success. Toolbox-Marketing has always provided insights into these marketing aspects of the web that us techies don't always recognize.
